Pronia Hostel (Ageing in Place)

Steyi Nursing Home

The facility cares for 58 residents in an attractive building at Clayton South. Each resident at Steyi has their own bedroom, with access to a toilet and shower . All bedrooms are heated.

Galini Memory Support Unit (Ageing in Place)

Provides care to Greek elderly people who suffer from dementia. There is emphasis on structure and validation, as well as on the Greek culture including food, support, language and activities. Galini has 33 permanent beds. Accommodation - Each resident at Galini has their own bedroom. Twenty-four of the thirty-two bedrooms have their own ensuites. The remaining eight bedrooms have access to a shared ensuites. All bedrooms are heated and have an outlook to the garden. From time to time it is necessary to relocate residents to other rooms as the needs of residents change. Such relocation is done after consultation with resident and families. Galini allows for Ageing in place. This means that the elderly person can remain in Galini as their needs change from low to high care category.

Thalpori.

Thalpori is recognised by the Department of Health and Ageing as a provider of nursing care, to Australian elders of Greek speaking background who have a current Aged Care Assessment indicating the need for high care. Accommodation -The high care section of the facility accommodates 30 residents with single rooms. The allocation of rooms is determined by the Manager of Residential Care Services, who takes into account various factors and individual needs. There are resident lounges, a dining room, activities room, kitchen and laundry.

 

Thalpori. Memory Support Unit

The Thalpori low care section consists of 17 low and high level care beds including 1respite bed and a secured section (wing) of 13 dementia specific beds in an attractive building located next to Thalpori high care section at St. Albans. The facility is managed by a Manager of Residential Care. Accommodation – The facility has 30 single rooms with their own ensuite. The allocation of rooms is determined by the Manager of Residential Care, who takes into account various factors and individual needs. There are three lounges, a dining room, a kitchen and a laundry. There is access to a spacious courtyard. This can be used for outdoor activities. Thalpori allows for Ageing-in-Place. This means that an elderly person can remain in the same facility as their needs shift to high care category.

Respite -Thalpori has 1 respite bed that may be booked in advance for the purpose of the carer having a break, managing family concerns such as hospitalisation or unforseen crisis. An agreement is entered into between the resident and/or representative and “Fronditha”. The agreement or booking specifies the duration of the respite placement. It is important in all instances to discuss the family’s and elderly persons needs, before a booking is made.

Storgi. Ageing in Place

Storgi is an established 60 bed Aged Care Facility. The facility is recognised by the Department of Health and Ageing as a provider of nursing care, to Australian elders of Greek speaking background who have a current Aged Care Assessment indicating the need for low and high care. The facility allows for Ageing-in-Place. This means that an elderly person can remain in the same facility as their needs shift to high care category.
Accommodation – Storgi is situated close to parklands and the Yarra River with easy access to a public bus system. The facility cares for 45 high care and 15 low care residents. Residents have private rooms with single ensuites. Some rooms are designed to care for couples who share an ensuite. The facility has a number of communal areas including a dining room, activities room lounge room sunroom and a courtyard room.

Is recognised by the Department of Health and Ageing as a provider of nursing care to Australian elders of Greek speaking background who have a current Aged Care Assessment indicating the need for high care services. Nursing Care is provided in a pleasant environment in Station Street Thornbury. Accommodation The facility accommodates 90 residents. There are 90 single rooms with their own ensuites. The allocation of rooms is determined by the Manager of Residential Care Services, who takes into account various factors and individual needs. There are two resident’s lounges, a dining room, activities room, kitchen and laundry.

 

Anesi Memory Support Unit (Ageing in Place)

Provides care to Greek elderly people who suffer from dementia. There is emphasis on structure and validation, as well as on the Greek culture including food, support, language and activities. Anesi has 30 permanent beds. Accommodation - Each resident at Anesi has their own bedroom and access to a shared ensuite. The Anesi Memory  Support Unit will open in March 2014.

Fronditha Hippocrates Aged Care – is a newly established 66 bed Aged Care Facility in Newcastle NSW. The facility is recognised by the Department of Health and Ageing as a provider of nursing care, to Australian elders of CALD (culturally and linguistically diverse) background who have a current Aged Care Assessment indicating the need for low and high care. The facility allows for Ageing-in-Place. This means that an elderly person can remain in the same facility as their care needs change to high category. Accommodation – Fronditha Hippocrates Aged Care is situated in Mayfield with easy access to a public transport system. The facility cares for 16 high care and 50 low care residents. Residents have private rooms with single ensuites. The facility has a number of communal areas including a dining room, activities room lounge room sunroom and a courtyard room.
