COVID-19 Update: Seven day lockdown in Victoria

Earlier in the afternoon, Victoria’s Premier, Daniel Andrews, announced that Victoria will enter a state-wide lockdown from 8:00 pm, Thursday, 5 August 2021, and for seven days.

Consequently, Fronditha Care’s residential aged care homes across Victoria will continue to be into lockdown until 6:00 pm, Thursday, 12 August 2021.

COVID-19 Update: Hunter Valley in Snap Lockdown

Earlier today, NSW’s Premier Gladys Berejiklian announced that the state’s Hunter and Upper Hunter regions will enter a snap lockdown from 5:00 pm, Thursday, 5 August 2021,  following confirmation of several local COVID-19 cases. Fronditha Care’s Newcastle Facility is currently in hard lockdown due to a respiratory outbreak. The facility will remain in hard lockdown until it’s cleared.

With the re-emergence of COVID19 across the community, Victoria’s Premier, Daniel Andrews announced earlier today that the state go into lockdown.

As per State Government announcements, no visitors will be allowed at Victorian aged care facilities until the circuit breaker lockdown is lifted.
Consequently, Fronditha Care’s residential aged care homes across Victoria will go into lockdown from 11:59 pm today, Thursday, 15 July 2021 until 11:59 pm, Tuesday, 20 July 2021.

COVID-19 Update: Restricted Visitation in Aged Care Facilities – Newcastle

NSW’s Premier, Gladys Berejiklian, announced that Greater Sydney, the Blue Mountains, Central Coast and Wollongong has officially entered a lockdown from 6:00 pm, Saturday 26 June, until 11:59pm, Friday, July 9.

The State Government also announced that all aged care facilities in NSW has moved into restricted visitation as of 6:00 pm, Saturday 26 June.  Consequently, Fronditha Care’s Newcastle facility has already moved into restricted visitation

COVID-19 VISITOR RESTRICTIONS NSW – 24/06/21

Yesterday morning, NSW Premier Gladys Berejiklian announced a series of restrictions for Greater Sydney, The Illawarra, Blue Mountains and the Central Coast. The restrictions came into effect from Wednesday, June 24 at 4:00 pm.

Following the Premier’s directives, you will not be permitted to enter Fronditha Care’s Newcastle facility if you live and work in the aforementioned areas.

VISITATION TO RESIDENTIAL AGED CARE FACILITIES – Newcastle

Fronditha Care would like to advise that all Residential Aged Care Facilities are now required to consider the Chief Health Officer’s advice regarding visitor and access policies.

This advice is a result of the recent repeal of the Public Health (COVID-19 Aged Care Facilities) Order No. 4 and the amendment of the Public Health (COVID-19 Restrictions on Gathering and Movement) Order.

Update re voluntary lockdown – 7/07/2020

The rapid spread of coronavirus in Victoria is a concern to all. Premier Daniel Andrews announced today that he is reimposing stage three restrictions for six weeks in metropolitan Melbourne and the Mitchell Shire to slow the rapid spread of coronavirus. These orders come into effect from 11.59PM July 8 until August 21, 2020.

The reintroduction of stage 3 stay-at-home orders directly affects all of Fronditha Care’s aged care homes and some community services programs. Read the full announcement here.

Update Re: COVID19 – 10.06.20

The Australian Medical Association has urged people who attended Black Lives Matter demonstrations around Australia over the weekend to consider self-isolating for 14 days to limit the risk of spreading the virus.

Following this advice and erring on the side of caution, Fronditha Care strongly recommends that if you fall into the above category, you refrain from visiting our elderly consumers in their homes or entering our residential aged care facilities for 14 days i.e. until 21/6/2020 inclusive.

Fronditha Care is doing its utmost to limit the risk of the coronavirus to protect its elderly residents and staff. We remind you that Victoria is still in a State of Emergency and will remain so until 21/6/2020.

To date, Fronditha Care has not had any cases of coronavirus reported amongst its residents and staff.

Όταν θα εισέρχεστε σε κάποια εγκατάσταση, πρώτα απευθυνθείτε στο προσωπικό υποδοχής και απαντήστε σε μερικές απλές ερωτήσεις.

Παρακαλείσθε όπως διαβάσετε την σχετική ανακοίνωση σχετικά με το πλάνο αντιμετώπισης του  COVID-19.

Fronditha Care will be communicating with you regularly to update you on measures we are taking to protect you and your loved ones in our residential care facilities against the spread of COVID-19. As of Tuesday 17/3/2020 our visiting hours will be restricted from 12pm – 7pm.

As you enter a facility, present yourself to our reception staff first to answer some simple questions.
