Hippocrates Fronditha Care Gala Dinner 2019 – Newcastle
The Hippocrates Australian Greek Aged Persons Association (HAGAPA) and Fronditha Care have fostered a warm and solid relationship for more than eight years, both devoted to the care and empowerment of the elderly community of Newcastle.
Fronditha Care is a charitable organisation that has been caring and advocating for elderly Australians of multicultural heritage since 1977. After firmly establishing residential and community care services to the Australian Greek elders of Victoria, Fronditha Care entered into a partnership with the Hippocrates Association.
Together, they have rolled out Fronditha Care’s culturally appropriate model of residential care to Newcastle’s multicultural community; as a not-for-profit, our focus is on ensuring the individual care needs of residents are met yet we go one step further to do this in an environment that celebrates their language, traditions and heritage.
The modern 66-bed nursing home in Mayfield was built on land of the HAGAPA and opened its doors in 2011. The block also houses HAGAPA’s community hall which has become a hub of activity for our elderly residents, keeping them active and connected to the community.
Our gala ball will be raising funds to ensure our cherished residents receive the best care possible.
