The happiest moment of my life would have to be when it all started, I married my wonderful husband Gary at St Johns Anglican Church on a very rainy day 41 years ago.
It was my 19th birthday and the rain didn’t bother me at all. They say if it rains on your wedding day you will have a happy and long marriage (I think that’s said so the bride won’t cry) however there must be some truth to it. I am still married and feeling very blessed to have such a close knit and wonderful family.
More happy moments were the birth of our three beautiful children. Eldest is Louise who has a wonderful husband and three beautiful boys. Second born is Gerrard, also married and has a beautiful wife with one handsome boy. Third born is Benjamin, married to a gorgeous girl with two wonderful boys. All six grandsons born were very special and are happy moments for me.
Now, the happiest moments would have to be when our family is all together for celebrations, BBQ’s – any excuse really.
Every morning I wake up and feel so grateful for my life and what I have, I would never take it for granted. I love my husband, I love my family and I love my job.
A fortune teller once told me “you will never win any money in the lottery or lotto” but I feel so rich with love and happiness that money can’t buy.
